Water Faith

Christ walks on water, all I do is swim,
out of the darkness He comes near my boat,
He beckons me, I rise to come to Him,
my faith, His hand and grace keep me afloat.
Amidst the wind and storm, He is asleep;
afraid, I wake Him up to calm my fear;
"O ye of little faith, why don't you leap?"
He says, "Be not afraid for I am here."
"This, My beloved Son, well pleases me,"
the Father tells us as the waters flow;
I am transfigured by this mystery
each day from my baptism long ago.
I want to walk on water, calm the wind,
get washed by Christ as if I'd never sinned.
