If I am bold to love, I'm bold to God,
my boldness is an aspect of my love;
my love for God and all, He need not prod,
for me love’s deep not just a fancy of.
You want me, God, and also I want You,
You are the best and want the best for me;
much as I love, I can't Your love outdo,
yet our love lasts for an eternity.
You started this, for in me love You stirred,
I loved it so, You made me want to spread it;
I know to some, such love may seem absurd,
don't blame me for bold love that's to Your credit.
We learn to love by loving, Francis said,
so I'll keep loving boldly 'til I'm dead.
