I Love You, God

I love You, God, let me say it again,

the magic words You've tried to teach to me;

I love You, God, more than I love my kin,

the You I know and too Your mystery.

I love You, Lord, because of Your command,

and also for all You've provided me,

our world, my life, my family, friends and land,

Your heaven by mercy given so generously.

Since You are love, I just give back to You

the image of Your love You put in me;

and when I really love another true,

it's Your own love reflected that they see.

I love You, Lord, with all the love we share,

in word, in deed, in heart, in loving prayer.
