Prayer Wonder

A prayer is more than just telepathy,
mental telepathy, if it is real,
just uses mind, but prayer is all of me--
mind, body, heart, soul, will and how I feel.

More than a thought, prayer comes in colored words,
an infinite variety of hues,
the lilts of prayer are prettier than birds,
God gives all prayers their own celestial views.

Prayer taps the signs of God’s infinity,
like God, prayer’s good and true and beautiful,
how He works wonders just to answer me,
my eyes of faith discern prayer’s miracle.

Your vision, Lord’s, beyond our time and space,
but my small prayer can penetrate Your grace.
