God Rests but Never Sleeps

God never sleeps, while I dream nights away,
I zoom around and all I do is flawed;
cool God, relaxed, just whiles away the day
so nonchalant, as I am overawed.
God rests His case when every person dies,
our great Defender, mercy well in hand;
we guilty, ignorant, with Him so wise,
the verdict in, we calmly understand.
If God's so smart, why am I smarter still?
If God's so good, why do I all for me?
If God knows best, where is my flailing will?
God's humble, while I need humility.
We fight, O God, and yet I'm not that dumb,
I do believe and pray: Thy Kingdom come.
