Desperate Love

What love drove God to make the Me exist?
If we are passionate, how much more He,
to create one that He could not resist,
to love so desperately He made the Me.
God's crush on Me, more than infatuation,
deep as the sea and full of great emotion
for Me, the pinnacle of His creation,
brought to the Me the best of His devotion.
God's love made Him desire love in return,
true love required the Me be free to love,
and to be free His desperate love to spurn,
the only love one can be certain of.
O Lord, let me fire up my love for You,
so I ensure this Me does love You true.
