Kiss-Prayer

I love God so to Him I'll throw a kiss,
to sail around my sinful soul's eclipse,
since souls can't normal kiss, I'll just do this,
and send a prayer I let escape my lips.

That every prayer's a kiss I never knew,
nor each good deed I do is like a hug,
as God sends all Creation His sweet dew,
to give damp kisses to each flower and bug.

God kissed my thirsty soul and made me live,
and He still sends me kisses every day,
the least that I can do is try to give
some kiss-prayers in return along the way.

O God, so we eternity may share,
please don't dismiss my little kiss and prayer.
