Humble Love

God’s good grace comes at church, we need to go,
He is all good, all perfect, nothing bad,
He made us ‘cuz He loves us, this we know,
He is the best thing that we’ve ever had.

We only skimp on God because we’re proud,
somehow we end up thinking we’re so great,
but everything we have He has endowed,
through all the world His wonders resonate.

He opened up His heart so we could hurt
Him when He risked and humbly set us free,
so made of dust, we could treat Him like dirt,
damn it, O God, where’s our humility?

O mighty Lord, from Your great throne above,
You proved it takes humility to love.
