That Great Passage--Phil. 2:6-11

Though Jesus Christ was in the form of God,
He did not hold to this equality;
He emptied all divinity to plod
like some poor slave with our humanity.
He humbled Himself to the point of death,
upon His cross obediently He died;
all of His blood He gave and His last breath
to open for the faithful heaven wide.
Because of this, God raised Him up on high,
and placed His Name o'er every other name,
so that each time His Name we signify,
the knee of everyone should bend the same.
And every tongue should shout with one accord
that Jesus Christ in heaven and earth is Lord.
