God does not give much suffering to me,
because He knows how much I am afraid,
He has me work on my humility,
by showing me the dumb mistakes I’ve made.
God wants me to be humble, little, meek,
because God is so big I’m really small,
His great strength shows more truly when I’m weak,
without His power I’d not be here at all,
God wants us all to see how great He is,
so our great sin of pride we can control,
our littleness shouts all our works are His,
we only work as He works in our soul.
So, Lord, for me to have any success,
there must be more of You, and of me, less.
