Humble Bloom

All virtues blossom in a humble soil,
the lily of the valley's modesty
can match the lilac, known to be loyal,
the lowly violet waiting patiently.
If the worst sin is the brash orchid's pride,
the virtue best is laurel's humility;
if good glows from a jasmine's joy inside,
how better than the sunflower's showy glee.
Like marigolds, Our Lady humbly placed
her trust in God, as harbingers in spring;
like morning glories full, God fully graced
her faith in her own regal lily king.
If she was picked for her humility,
best I obey the humble peony.
