God Trust

Can I trust God Who made the world for me,
Who marked the laws of math and times the tide,
Who charts for each of us our destiny,
Who speaks to me soft quietly inside?
Can I trust God Who offers me a cross?
Who says that pain’s a part of why I’m here,
that God is not just some big Santa Claus,
that faith and heaven aren’t cheap but rather dear?
Why should God trust me if Him I can’t trust,
and I want God to trust me with His grace?
He must trust one He just raised up from dust,
we mutually trust when we meet face to face.
O God, my faithful shepherd, strong and true,
as faithful dust, I’ll place my trust in You.
