Retroactive Prayer

Does God not dare a different paradigm,
undaunted by our limitations here,
in timeless grace beyond our space and time,
content with His celestial stratosphere?

What if in His own vast eternity
He stores our prayers to make them last and last,
to have them all appear so fresh and free
for those we pray for buried in the past?

Might He in some fantastic time-warp way
then use our prayers to shuck off evil's curse,
and change the sins of those lost souls today
so that their fate is placed in some reverse?

O God, I pray You take those in despair
and reap them with my retroactive prayer.
