God's Decor

So I must rearrange my furniture,
and throw some out or change what I possess,
and decorate a new interior,
just to create a soul You want to bless?

Rebuild my sand-based house instead on rock,
and chase the dark out with Your candle bright,
and even move it to a different block,
raise it from sullen earth and take to flight?

Can I be open to such glorious change,
can I find strength for such a daunting task,
will You help me my property rearrange?
I know You’re open if I simply ask.

You want, O Lord, my soul-house to re-pack,
in faith I’ll let my baggage love You back.
