Pro-Active Love

If no one else loves You, O God, I do,
there’s something about You I find so attractive,
of course, I know that billions love You too,
in them, in me Your love is so pro-active.

Would some lame God create me with such care?
A love-lite God would not make me at all,
a lukewarm God would not respond to prayer,
would not reach down and lift me when I fall.

Your active love’s, Lord, like a blazing fire,
You sow my soul and hope my soul You’ll reap,
You free me first, then pull, push and inspire,
I pass the pain, You give me heaven to keep.

Pro-active God, I know You want from me,
like Yours, some loving pro-activity.
