Organized Faith

Our organized religion has three parts,
like three legs on a stool, it needs each one,
appealing to our bodies, souls and hearts,
just like our God--the Father, Spirit and Son.
In faith we pray the Father all alone,
we lift our hearts to Him in personal prayer.
In church we let our hidden light be shown,
in hope the Spirit inspires our spirits there.
Our bodies help the poor in charity,
we social creatures Christ to those in need.
With these ways our religious Trinity,
we organize in thought and word and deed.
Religion means relationship--we church
relate to God from our three-legged perch.
