Love Is the Option

Love is the option when we have a choice,
love’s might can make friends of our enemies,
love’s grace lends truth a stronger, gentler voice,
love’s nature weaves a happy end with ease.
In theory, love’s what makes the world go round,
though leaders often don’t give love a glance,
yet if they’d look, love everywhere is found,
love’s patience wins when given half a chance.
All powerful love will triumph in the end,
it thus behooves us all sweet love to choose;
since God is love, He’s each true lover’s friend,
and so in choosing love we cannot lose.
Choose love and you choose God, both good and true,
and God will shove His gracious love to you.
