God gave me freedom when He gave me love,
love can’t be forced, to love means to be free;
to love or not to love--my choosing of
is like my choice “to be or not to be.”
God does command I love Him, yet I choose,
I’m free to love Him first and thus obey;
His game of life and love, to win or lose,
I choose to play, and that means choose to pray.
To love me more than God means I am proud,
but humble for obedience and prayer;
free to be proud or humble--I’m allowed,
to worship me or God, which do I dare?
If I love myself truly, this I know:
to love God first means I’ll to heaven go.
