Physical God

O God, You don't get physical with me,
Your arms do not enfold me here and now;
I cannot hear your voice, I cannot see
Your face though I still sense You anyhow.

I know we are incarnate like Your Son,
You made our body good, our soul divine;
body and soul, You fused us into one,
Your spark of life and image both are mine.

Your gifts are physical, this earth, my food,
You speak to me through Scripture or a friend,
so I respond with prayer and gratitude,
a physical and spiritual blend.

O Spirit God, Who relates physically,
 I put faith in the ways You get to me.
