God Dares

God of the universe, how do I dare
come and approach You now so fearlessly,
filled by my sins, with but a tiny prayer,
and personally ask You to attend to me?

I dare because to me You dare to come,
You loved me in Your heart first long ago,
You dared bring me to life though small and dumb,
and so I can now come to You, I know.

You bridge the gap between me small, You great,
You bury me within Your loving heart,
You mission me to Your name resonate,
and promise me our names will never part.

You dared me, Lord, so now I dare You too,
to make me great within the world of You.
