Bond with God

I thought it would be good to bond with God,
so we could be great friends without a doubt,
perhaps then we'd relate with no facade,
and I'd find out what life is all about.
Sometimes it seems God's like a little boy,
you have to get down on the floor and play,
and share with Him whatever holy toy,
and even get down on your knees and pray.
To bond I must be intimate with Him,
I'll whisper since we're never far apart,
I'll leap in, not just play around the rim,
I'll listen to Him whisper in my heart.
I trust You, God, in all humility
because I know You died to bond with me.
