Forget Sins

I worry, Lord, about my sinfulness,
but I am not concerned about my sins,
I send to God my sins when I confess,
I win His grace, my soul’s return He wins.

I thank You, Christ, for Your great Sacraments,
as we face life--and death too--every day,
for my confession makes a lot of sense,
it frees me, takes my guilt and stress away.

But my repentence has to be sincere,
for You know when I’m sorry for a sin,
my firm resolve to change, Lord, should be clear,
I cannot plan to sin that way again.

Thanks, Lord, that You’ve forgiven all my sin,
I can receive the Eucharist again.
