Too Sweet

O God, I fear I do not feel so sweet
Your love for me that here for her I feel,
though You are God and give me all I meet,
still feeling her sweet love seems much more real.

I cannot see You, God, but her cute eyes
dance in my own and sweep me off my feet,
You made the sun, but I see this sun rise
when in she walks and my heart skips a beat.

I hear Your thunder, Lord, but her fair voice
is hypnotizing to my hungry ear,
between her and You, God, have I a choice
of what seems more right in the now and here?

She speaks, our eyes meet, and we gently touch,
can’t I love her and You too, Lord, that much?
