Coach God

God is the coach of this mysterious team,
recruiting players who, free agents all,
find difficulty in pursuing His dream,
and, playing His game, often trip and fall.

Reluctantly recruited one by one,
they’re captivated by some other sports,
less into discipline, more into fun,
they have to be weaned from more popular courts.

Some doubting His invisible victory,
attached to this world, more material,
they must absorb His spirituality,
and He resort to many a miracle.

Divine Coach, let me choose Your sport, I pray,
so on Your team I’ll ever after play.
