Up to Me

So who can keep me from the love of Christ?
The world, the flesh, the devil are the three,
though God gives us sufficient grace to stand
our ground with them, and so it's up to me.

As Jeremiah said the word of God
burned in his heart until he set it free,
so there exists in mine the urge to live
the same demanding word--it's up to me.

A constant struggle tears at my insides
between the lures of sin and grace that He
so amply offers if I choose to take
what's in His hand; I know it's up to me.

God gives His grace, His Church, His love I see,
but to accept His help is up to me.
