What Makes a Saint?
What makes a saint so good? We have some hints:
They get up quick when they have fallen down,
offered the test of pain, they do not wince,
without the martyr’s test, there is no crown.
God formed His plan for them, they did not choose,
He chose some great, but mostly chose the small,
they take His grace and work, rather than cruise,
they join their will to His, and then stand tall.
What makes them worthy of God’s love is love,
by great, great faith, with God they cast their lot,
forsaking life, they send their life above,
no greater love than this nobody’s got.
Do You, Lord, choose us all good saints to be,
small, normal, lowly people just like me?
