Prayer Trust

So much my prayer depends upon my trust,
I have to first have faith that You exist,
I pray, then trust You’ll do the things You must,
like You said You live in my Eucharist.

Next, Lord, I trust You’re not just there, but here,
Your book and words that bid me to my prayer,
and then Your ears can hear because they’re near
and listen to my prayer because You care.

Then I trust You, O God, that You’ll respond,
You, Personal God, Who loves me personally,
and in response, of You I too am fond,
and knowing this, You kindly answer me.

But even more, You give me even more,
what’s best, more than what even I pray for.
