Hidden God
O Hidden God, some don’t believe You’re there,
so much of You already You've revealed,
this sacrament that shows so much You care,
once we believe, has so much there to yield.
Those famous words now no one doubts You spoke:
“This is My Body” at that sacred meal,
then: “This is My Blood,” but some doubt they cloak
Your Presence there that we believe is real.
Christ in Your Eucharist, does not Your face
in mystery lurk where eyes of faith see clear,
and bring us there Your greatest gift of grace,
Your soul and Godly whole of heaven here.
Lord, let my faith see Your divinity,
and seize this gift of love You offer me.
