Emanuel

(Christ with us)

The Eucharist is our Emanuel,
for Christ is God and Eucharist is Christ;
A equals B, B equals C, so tell
that in the Mass 'tis God is sacrificed.

My Eucharist is my Emanuel,
for in Communion God does come to me,
and for a while thus I am His hotel,
it does not matter most is mystery.

God is too big for me to understand,
the faith He offers me I do embrace,
small price to pay to hold onto His hand,
small price for an infinity of grace.

O God, I do believe that it is true,
my thanks I show in my receiving You.
