The Faith One

God is my Maker, so my faith is His,
without Him nothing would exist at all,
for He created everything there is,
stamped on my heart, I listen to His call.

The Lord’s my Shepherd, so He has my faith,
He loves me, fills my cup beyond the brim,
He came and gave to me His life to death,
His gift of life I offer back to Him.

Christ founded His own Church, my faith is there,
to it He sent His Spirit as guard and guide,
one, holy, Apostolic, everywhere,
its truth I can’t deny, defy, or hide.

To me the evidence for this is true,
and so I put my faith, O Lord, in You.
