No Fooling

I can’t fool God, He is the God of truth,
He watches me and sees me all the time,
He knows me like He knew me in my youth,
He knows me in my folly and my prime.

God reads my thoughts, no place for me to hide,
my sins hurt Him, but I can’t run away,
He’s out there everywhere and deep inside,
tomorrow, yesterday, and, yes, today.

He sees through me, no holding back, no lie,
I am the only thing He’s thinking of,
He sees all that I do and how I’ll die,
and all the time He floods me with His love.

Keep watching, knowing, God, and loving me,
You’re Lord of my eternal victory.
