The Face of God

"If you see Me, you see the Father too,"
says Christ Who’s near, though God’s so far away.
O Jesus close, I can relate to You,
but how do I get close to great Jahweh?

The Father speaks in stars, You have a face,
yet He put His own image into me,
He shares His message with me, and His grace,
yet One so great must stay a mystery.

His love's so big, He sent His only Son,
to suffer and to die so I can live,
in greater mystery, You're Three in One,
I mostly take, while You Three give and give.

O Spirit of love, most faceless of all Three,
pour out Your grace and put Your face on me.
