I am so small, on that I will not dwell,
much more important is “how great Thou art,”
what I do poorly, You make turn out well,
God of great might, of mercy, soul, and heart.
You made the universe with just a glance,
with all my strength, I can’t create a thing,
yet with my freedom, You give me the chance
to break Your great heart or make angels sing.
You place my soul and others’ in my care,
great power and great responsibility,
how much I need to come to You in prayer,
my power’s no good if You’re not helping me.
I must be wise, if I’m no longer small,
to choose your love so great and have it all.
