Greedy for God

I'm greedy for You, God, and for Your love,
I'm greedy for eternal paradise,
not what's below, I want the things above,
to not die and go down, but live and rise.

I'm selfish since I want for me what's best,
it's not I want Your good grace just for me,
I also want salvation for the rest,
but I sure want You for eternity.

O God, I hunger for Your happiness,
I thirst for souls too, be they friends or foes,
I hope my every word and deed You bless,
I want my fill, 'til my cup overflows.

O God, on Your good faith I want to feed
forever as I satisfy my greed.
