Wait for God

Why can't I wait on God, He waits for me,
so long as I keep working for what's right,
God takes His time with what I cannot see,
I trust His patience, wisdom, love and might.

God's Providence provides for everyone,
God waits on us though we don't understand,
just as our light and warmth come from the sun,
all that we have and need comes from His hand.

It's true I wait for God in work and prayer,
but most by waiting on the ones in need,
I see and serve the image that they bear,
and understand I wait on God indeed.

You use me, God, to wait on others too,
as here You wait on me waiting for You.
