God Warning

As I am God, I deal out life and death,
in My Old Book, I God Almighty saith,*
You I conceive, I quench your life and breath,
to see all this, I offer eyes of faith.

When your sins go too far offending Me,
I loose destruction, death and desolation,
and wielding wrong their powers, the powers-that-be
unleash My powers on your entire nation.

If you do not repent, I will not bless
your land, nor will I my swift sword restrain,
as in My Old Book I have said, “unless
the city’s good, the watchman guards in vain.”**
