God's Power Less

God chooses to use power much less than more,
God wants to win with power more in than out;
instead of rich, He came to us as poor,
He calls with more a whisper than a shout.
A lion Who is more kittenlike than cat,
God answers with a purr more than a roar;
He bunts more than He homers when at bat,
to hit an RBI so we can score.
He'll save a sinful soul with honey sweet,
more than with barrels of vinegar galore;
though He's fought every fight without defeat,
He's more a God of peace than God of war.
Still when I have some hefty spiritual chore,
I pray God shows His power not less but more.
